I just bought new cream sheets with a beautiful navy trim and print. How should I wash them so the colors don't bleed?

Nothing is better than a new pair of sheets, so we understand why you want to keep them looking their best. Unfortunately, there's no way to wash "set colors" so that they don't bleed. The good news, though, is that the colors in your sheets shouldn't run when you wash them. Make sure you use cold water with a mild detergent, and if you must iron, use a very cool setting. And use color-safe bleach occasionally to get extra grime out.
