To Enter: Sweepstakes begins 12:00:01 AM ET 3/24/08 and ends 11:59:59 PM ET 4/24/08. To enter, e-mail your name, nest username, and email address to love@thenest.com, please write St.Lucia Trip in the subject line. All online entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET 4/24/08 to be eligible. Limit one entry per person. Entries must be complete to be eligible. You must pay normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your on-line service.
Random Drawing: The winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about May 2, 2008, from among all eligible entries received. Drawing will be conducted by Sponsor, whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received.
Prize and Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): One (1) Grand Prize: 5-nights accommodations for two in a Garden View Room at the all-inclusive Rendezvous Hotel in St. Lucia, on-site breakfast, lunch and dinner and all beverages daily (select menu items may not be available), and one 30-minute couples massage (ARV: $1,465). Transportation not included with prize. Actual retail value may vary based on departure/return dates.
The prize is valid June 1, 2008 - May 31, 2009 and subject to availability at time of booking. Blackout dates to include: Dec 15, 2008 - March 31, 2009; July 6-17, 2008; and May 4-12, 2009.
Prize will be awarded and winner will be notified by email/mail.
Prize is nontransferable/no substitution allowed except by Sponsor who reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value if advertised prize (or portion of prize) is unavailable. Sponsor and its agencies assume no responsibility/liability for damages, losses or injury resulting from acceptance or use of prize.
General Rules: Taxes, if any, related to the prize are the responsibility of the winner, including without limitation federal, state and local taxes, and the reporting consequences thereof. Winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Publicity Release (where legal) and Liability Release to Sponsor within 10 days of receipt and prior to awarding of the prize, or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Return of prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and alternate selection. The winner’s travel companion must be 18 years of age or older and such companion must sign and return a liability and publicity release prior to awarding of prize. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law. By entering, entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these official rules and by all decisions of Sponsor, which are final and legally binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Internet entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the sweepstakes or website; violates the Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this sweepstakes which may limit the ability to participate or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the promotion if it becomes technically corrupted, and award prize from eligible entries received prior to cancellation. In the event the winner or winner’s travel companion engages in behavior that (as determined by Sponsor in Sponsor’s sole discretion) is obnoxious or threatening, illegal or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the winner and/or travel companion’s stay or other applicable experience early without further compensation.
Eligibility: Sweepstakes open to legal residents of the U.S., 18 years of age or older as of 3/24/08, except employees and their families of The Knot, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies. This offer is void where prohibited and subject to all federal, state and local laws.
