Spring Cleaning Checklist

We know you don't want to do it, but at some point, you're going to be living in filth. Here's an idea: Turn cleaning into a friendly couple competition. Whoever earns the most points gets a back rub.

QUICK CLEANUPS (1 POINT PER TASK)

  • Run lemons through garbage disposal sanitize wastebaskets.
  • Sweep and mop behind fridge and stove sweep and hose garage wash doorknobs and drawer pulls vacuum behind heavy furniture and other hard-to-reach places.
  • Clean under sinks in bathroom and kitchen.

TIP: Don’t just take out the trash, scrub the can too.

GET OUT THE ELBOW GREASE (3 POINTS PER TASK)

  • Clean curtains and drapes.
  • Sort files.
  • Clean microwave, toaster oven, and other small appliances.
  • Replace shower curtain liner wash windows inside and out vacuum and rotate mattress

TIP: Twice a year, you should flip it end-to-end too. toss expired dry goods swap summer and winter wardrobes TIP: Designate piles for donation.

OH WHAT A PAIN (5 POINTS PER TASK)

  • Clean oven
  • Change batteries in smoke and carbon dioxide alarms.
  • Throw away rarely used or expired toiletries.
  • Clean gutters.
  • Clean upholstery.
  • Fertilize lawn.
  • Tune up lawn mower.
