Love Q&A: Do I Tell Her?

My friend’s husband hit on me. Do I tell her?

Remember it’s a lot easier to believe that a friend has an overactive imagination than that she married a creep. Your friend probably already knows if her guy’s flirty with other ladies. If so, this incident won’t prove anything to her -- it’ll just make you seem like a drama queen. Also, realize that he could always spin this into a situation where you made the first move. If you tell and she goes into total denial, say, “I’m sorry, I may have misjudged the situation,” and back off. If she takes the case to her hubby, be willing to confront him with her. If you don’t have the guts to face him directly, don’t break such bombshell news. Sometimes a better move is to just offer support to your friend over time -- and to never be alone with her husband.
