This weekend my husband is going away with his friends and I'm glad. What’s wrong with me?
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with relishing your alone time. And think back to before marriage: You came and went as you pleased, watched bad TV without being heckled, ate cookies in bed, and sat happily for hours not speaking a word to anyone (you and the dog communicated telepathically). This weekend is all about you, so enjoy it guilt-free. See, do, and eat as you please. It’s actually quite refreshing to go solo but know that in a few days you’ll be cuddling in bed with the one you love. Besides, a little longing can go a long way.
