Websites:

Fuel Cost Calculator
This site from AAA, which we highly recommend joining if you plan to do a lot of traveling by car, helps estimate the cost of fuel you’ll need for your trip based on your car’s model and age.

Both of these sites offer advice about every aspect of a road trip in the United States, from safety to regional attractions not to be missed.
Road Trip USA also has a link to every state’s tourism department website at this page. The site also offers podcasts about several topics including regional American fare, quirky customs, and road trips you can take when you only have a weekend to spare.
