Just Moved: Kristen & James

How this super cute couple found a home to call their own.

Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Set-Up: 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths
Square Footage: 1,700
Style: Ranch
Price Paid: $220,000

How long were you looking?
4 months.

How many homes did you visit and look at?
Too many to remember! Maybe 15 to 20?

What was the hardest part about finding your new home?
Location! We really wanted to find a newer home that had a wooded lot and some space.

What was the best part?
Since we looked at so many homes, we really narrowed down what we wanted and were able to find it!

Was it hard to compromise and find a home you both loved?
Not at all -- we're really lucky that we have very similar taste!

Do you have any advice for Nesties who are still looking for their first home?
Be patient, look at lots of houses and get a good feel for what you love in a home. You'll find the right one!

What’s your favorite thing about your new home, what's unique about it?
The lot -- our backyard is a forest full of deer, other wildlife, and walking trails. It's very peaceful. What's unique about it? We found the house when it had just started being built -- we were able to customize everything: siding, floors, colors, cabinetry, etc. It was a ton of fun, and our house is completely "ours."
