We have a small condo in Boston. It's a 1BR, but it has some great architectural cut-outs that help make the place feel larger. The only down side is that there is no way to completely cut off the bedroom. We chose furniture from the same collection for our bedroom and living room. Since we were tight on space, we chose some pieces from the child's version of our bedroom set and some from the adult set. We used the child's media stand as our entertainment center (dresser storage underneath). Things coordinate great, and we were able to find the space we needed. I read on another page on here about concealed cabinets. Basically you recess a medicine cabinet into the wall (per normal) and replace the mirror with a piece of art. I'm going to try that next for our bedroom since we don't have quite enough space to do night stands.

I really like the office organizer. It would be fantastic in DHs mancave. The mancave is a tight space but he wants so much in there.

I like the office organizer, but not for $1099!

You can do the same idea as the office organizer just by finding some small 3 foot tall bookshelves and a laminate counter top of the desired length. Use screws to attach the counter top to the book shelves (either use small L brackets to go from the back of the bookshelf to the counter or screws up through the top of the bookshelf into the counter). Best part is you can mix and match colors and patterns so it suits your space.

I love the computer desk. It takes up so little space. My fiance works from home so we have an office/meeting room separate from the living area, but I could use one of these for all my stuff!

Another office organizer idea, is Michael's sells the cubes in the scrabook area and you can create your own desk and stack the cubes up. This is what i did and its great i was able to mix and match them Some have drawers others are just shelves. They were $30 a piece and then with the 40% off coupon each week is how i built my desk and i love it!

IKEA makes some really interesting and fun furniture. They seem to be pretty creative, which is great! I like this wall-mounted computer desk that they’re currently selling. This will definitely save some space in the room and make cleaning a lot easier too.

Often when you work from home your office space must also be used for family and home use. When considering your home remodeling project some of these ideas could be incorporated into your plans.
