Q.
How can I get my hardwood floors shiny?
A.
Wondering where the sparkle went? Blame it on overcleaning, which strips the wood of that rich top coat and leaves a nasty wax residue. All you really need to do is sweep with a soft bristle broom or vacuum with a soft floor attachment. You also might want to think about applying a professional wood floor product a couple of times a year. Just make sure not to wet-mop those wood floors: Standing water dulls the finish, leaving it discolored and looking pretty blah.
