Can shower curtains be washed?
I've washed the one on the outside of the tub a few times and it has come out fine. Just be sure you read the care instructions first. When it comes to a plastic, polyester or vinyl interior liner, I take the easy (and lazy) way out and throw it away when it gets really dirty. (Yuck!) And you can buy a new one for around $12 just about anywhere. Really want to give washing a whirl? I've read that you can wash curtain liners with bleach, vinegar and even baking soda to get rid of the mold and mildew (just don't put it in the dryer!). Maybe I'll try this route next time and save a few bucks!
