When you’re looking for an indoor tree, treat it like you would any piece of furniture. Trees can really be great showcases for a room because they draw the eye up to the ceiling and elongate the entire room. It also will anchor whatever part of the room you put it in.
Trees are expensive, though, so it’s important to select one that will really work for you -- and that you can keep alive. Take note of your light situation and the height of your room, and figure out how much time you can really devote to it. Go to a plant shop and work with a professional to find a tree that matches these factors as well as your decor. Make sure to check your tree for any bugs before you bring it home -- greenhouses do occasionally get infested.
