The best way to fake anything expensive is to go simple and classic. It's all about the mix, so if you splurge on curtain fabric, you can go cheaper on the hardware and still achieve a polished look.

In terms of curtain hardware, this means sticking to the basics and finding a cheap rod with great lines and shape -- it’s really all about those two things.

Accessories

Keep it simple: Your eye shouldn’t go to a big ball on the end or anything overly ornate. In fact, your eye shouldn’t really be drawn to anything; curtain hardware that you barely notice is the way to go.

Then just find a great curtain, and you’re all set.
