Keep it clean
Make sure you have enough storage so that all your toiletries and other accoutrements can be hidden away when they’re not in use. The bathroom should provide a Zen environment for you, not a reminder of all the work you do every day to get and stay pretty.
Go white
White walls, white counters, lush white towels -- white’s the way to go for the spa look. Minimalism screams spa, and white is about as minimal and pure as you can get.
Bring some life
Decorate with a single white orchid, a wheat grass box, or some other simple plant. This gives a sense of life and rejuvenation to the room, which hopefully is what you experience when you’re in it.
Minimal accessories
Besides your plants, it’s okay to have a few accessories in the room, maybe a beautiful coffee table book about some faraway destination on an African hassock beside the tub. Keep it upscale: If you want magazines, hide them in a cabinet. If they must be displayed, make sure they’re of the sophisticated variety.
Set the mood
Think about setting up a speaker system so you can pipe in some relaxing music. Candles are also always a good addition for a soothing space.
