Fashion Hits Home: Wild About Cheetah-Inspired Prints

Hi all! It's Jamie from I Suwannee, talking about a timeless pattern that's one of my all-time favorites: Cheetah-inspired prints. Honestly, it can never be a bad thing to incorporate this animal pattern into your wardrobe and your home! It’s a luxe touch that says you’re bold, you’re confident and you’re playful.

Proceed with caution, though: Prints like cheetah and leopard demand to be the statement of your outfit. It’s not wild about sharing the spotlight with loud prints and doesn’t play well with most other patterns. But no need to get too tame: Cheetah looks great paired with bright, bold solids.

This fall, there are tons of chic and sassy ways to work a touch of cheetah print into your wardrobe, including Tory Burch's instant-classic driving mocs, a safari-inspired sweater from Hallelu, J. Crew's skinny belt, a printed scarf by Malene Birger, a fab clutch by Rebecca Minkoff, and a lady-like pencil skirt from J. Crew.

Using cheetah when you decorate adds a dose of the exotic and intense to your rooms. It speaks of world travel, classic glamour and even a sense of humor. Accessorizing your home with cheetah print can be as effortless as incorporating it into your wardrobe, but the rules change a bit. Cheetah works as a neutral when you're you’re decorating, so feel free to mix it up with florals, bold geometrics and ethnic prints. Don't But don’t overdo it -- stick with just one -- or maybe two -- animals prints in a room.

Here are a few stylish solutions to the lack of cheetah in your rooms:

Elegant cheetah storage boxes from inmod; An oversized ottoman tray; Jayson Home and Gardens’ über-chic pillow; A luxe throw for the end of the bed; Rugs USA’s larger-than-life graphic rug; And for the bar aficionado, iomoi's customizable cheetah leopard-print coasters.

So, are as big a fan of animal print as I am? leave me a comment about your fave animal-print item in your home or closet!
