Jonathan Adler Whitaker Chair: What I Covet

Hi, Jaime from Design-Milk here showing you what I covet this week: the Jonathan Adler Whitaker chair.

I've become a bit onsessed with just about everything mid-century modern-inspired. I blame Mad Men. When I spotted design guru Jonathan Adler's new Whitaker chair -- and equally exciting ottoman -- I let out a little squeal. The king of kitsch has always created such elegant yet playful furnishings in his signature Palm Springs "happy chic" style, and his latest is just another notch in his (probably uber-stylish) belt.

Whitaker, with its heavy walnut swivel base and splayed arms, is reminiscent of a 1960s James Bond villain's chair. The ottoman feels a bit lighter perched up on four mid-century modern legs. Perhaps this would be a good place to plot taking over the world, er, I mean to plot your next decorating move.

I'd put Whitaker in a sunroom so that I could put my feet up, enjoy the cool breeze and sip on a tall glass of iced tea. Where would you put it?
