This week, the Javits Center, a super-large convention center in New York City, has been taken over by designers, artists, store owners and editors for the twice-yearly New York International Gift Fair. It’s a sneak peek at what’s hot in home design and what the emerging trends are. And yes, it’s as fun as it sounds.
Among this fall’s new introductions are washi tape, small-space-friendly Jonathan Adler furniture, monogrammed candles and loads more.
Here’s a glimpse at what we loved the most.
Bright Colors: Large canvas bags from See Design hold blankets or toys. There were lots of new paper designs by Rock Scissor Paper who won us over with a creative booth and motto: "Turn Rain into Rainbows!”
Personalized Decor: Monogrammed trays from Jill Rosenwald Studio make great hostess gifts. And the mini candles from Lafco come in yummy-colored holders you’ll want to reuse once the candle’s gone.
New Ventures: K.Hall debuted a new Barr Co. bath line we're dying to use. But would your man wear one of these wood ties? The ones shown above are from Wood Thumb.
Holiday: And just for fun, check out this booth's creative DIY displays. Snow & Graham covered Cardboard Safari’s deer heads in its new holiday papers. And Sabre showed off some cute holiday utensils.
