1. Notice the sun’s position and mind shadows. The best light is in the morning and late evening.
2. Follow the rule of thirds: Think of a picture like a grid, with two horizontal and two vertical lines. The object you’re focusing on should be placed on one of the intersections.
3. Fill the frame. A painter doesn’t leave his canvas white with a tiny object. When in doubt, get closer or zoom in.
