How to Squeeze Citrus Juice

Dying for a glass of fresh squeezed juice? Here’s how to get it at home.

Citrus juice is always a refreshing choice, whether it’s a fresh lemon for a recipe or an orange for breakfast.

1. You can squeeze the most juice out of a room-temperature fruit. Forgot to pull it out of the fridge ahead of time? Stick it in the microwave for a few seconds or use your hands to roll it back and forth on the cutting board to warm it up.

2. Cut the fruit in half –- smaller pieces will make it more difficult to get the juice out.

3. Squeeze the juice! A juicer is probably easiest, but you can use your hands, too. If you go for the by-hand method, be sure to catch the seeds with a cheese cloth.
