How to Stir-Fry

It’s time to wok and roll.

Looking to cook up something different for dinner tonight? Try this restaurant-worthy meal at home.

1. Choose the vegetables and meat that you want to include in your stir-fry -- then chop everything into small, uniform pieces. Stir-frying happens quickly once you start, so it’s important to have all of the ingredients ready to go ahead of time. You may also opt to marinate your meat or steam your vegetables in advance.

2. Grab a wok or a thin pan with sloped edges and start heating it with a bit of oil.

3. Saute your meat in the pan until it’s about half way to three-quarters-of-the-way cooked through. Then remove it and put it on a separate plate.

4. Throw your vegetables into the pan and let them saute for a few minutes. Then add the meat back in.

5. Pour your stir-fry sauce into the pan -- most commercial options have corn starch in them, which allows the sauce to stick to the meat and vegetables easily.

6. Let the sauce come to a boil. Then serve over rice.
