We all know Paula Deen; the reigning queen of southern cuisine; but her sons Bobby and Jamie Deen have made quite a name for themselves too. The Deens launched a home-based lunch delivery service called The Bag Lady in June 1989. Paula Deen made the sandwiches, and the boys went out and sold them to local businesses.
Two years later, the Deens opened their first restaurant on Savannah's Southside called The Lady. Within five years, The Lady expanded and was renamed The Lady and Sons. Tourists from all over come to Savannah fin search of their world-famous fried chicken and a little southern hospitality.
Today Bobby and Jamie are hosts of their own Food Network food and travel show, Road Tasted. Traveling the country to highlight small businesses, Bobby and Jamie educate viewers on how to find unique and interesting products that are rarely available.
Their latest cookbook, Recipes From the Road is a survey of their travels, featuring unique restaurants and chefs from all over the country.
