Monday Night Football: Sliders



Giants take on Washington. We’ve got burgers on the grill. The mini kind!

Ingredients
1 lb. lean (at least 80%) ground beef
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 teaspoons instant minced onion
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
8 oz. American cheese loaf, cut into 2-inch cubes (2 cups)
24 miniature burger buns, split

Toppings (your choice!)
Dill pickle chips
Sliced plum tomatoes
Shredded lettuce
Additional ketchup and mustard

Directions
1. In 10-inch skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in 2 tablespoons ketchup, the onion, and 1 teaspoon mustard.
2. Spray 3 1⁄2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Spoon beef mixture into slow cooker. Top with cheese. Cover; cook on low heat setting for 3 to 4 hours.
3. Just before serving, stir beef mixture. Spoon 1 rounded tablespoon of the mixture onto each bun. Serve with desired toppings.
