Nice to see you highlighting brews from all over the country, but it'd be even nicer to see some from INSIDE of America, instead of only those on the coasts. The Midwest has got some great brews that are available in 20 to 30 states.

Glad to see you highlighting some great craft brews, but I have to wonder what the "budget" is, since some of these are fairly pricey compared to what many people are willing to spend on beer. *I'll* spend it for the good stuff, but I wouldn't call it "budget," per se.

Cinder Cone Red? Are you kidding me? Did you do any research into this or just randomly pick beers? Deschutes discontinued this beer because it sold so poorly.

Yikes!, I run a beer department in a market and I just tasted the Peak Organic Espresso Amber Ale yesterday. My team and I thought it tasted like dirty dish water after washing out a coffee pot. yucky :(

Free trade coffee beans are nothing to brag about... that's just average. It's FAIR trade that's the good stuff. There's either a typo on the Espresso Amber Ale description, or they are marketing towards ignorance.

This is probobly one of the worst and most useless articles ever. What about the beers of the south? Shiner? How can you not mention good budget beers from the 2nd largest state in the U.S.?

I have never tasted these beers, I have only drunk European beers until now. I have even joined some beer of the month clubs and I haven't heard about these beers. The only beer from the US that I heard of is "Three Floyds Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout" but haven't had the chance to drink it! I hope that someone can give me a feedback on the best beer in the USA. Thanks!

Um, maybe the actual price (Hell, even a range) would be helpful in this article. I haven't heard of any of these beers, maybe because I live in the South and these are mostly all Northern East Coast and Pacific Coast. Bleh, coffee+beer??? Don't think so. "Budget" to me means Yuengling and Abita. : \

What kind of "Budget" is this article talking about? When I think Beers on a Budget, I'm thinking Budweiser and Milwaukee's Best. Wake up to the real world of living on a budget!

Mmmm Rogue Dead Guy Ale is my favorite! Good Brew but make sure you eat with it, I'm by no means a light weight but this get you buzzy pretty quickly :D

These are pretty good suggestions, although I have heard of most of them. The one beer that I really love but can't find in the States is called La Biere Du Demon, meaning the beer of the devil, because it's so strong. When I was living in France we used to have our meals delivered and get this beer with our food. It's 12% alcohol and I understand it's the strongest in Europe. Would love to try that again.
