What is best to use as a sweetener? There are too many choices...Sugar in the Raw, Splenda, Equal, Truvia, etc.

I prefer to eat natural foods and have less processed foods and chemicals in my diet, and I would recommend the same to you. Try to have limited amounts of raw sugar, honey, and maple syrup. Count your calories elsewhere in your diet and limit sweets, but keep them natural.
