Fitness Q&A: What’s the best way to get rid of love handles?

Q.

The Nest Q&A

What’s the best way to get rid of love handles?

A.

Eat right (I recommend a diet consisting of veggies, fruits, lean protein, whole wheat carbs, and low-fat calcium-rich foods) and make those food choices in small portions making up six snacks a day instead of three big meals. Do cardio at least three times a week and add weight lifting. Once you've worked up to it, combine your cardio with multitasking toning intervals. Weight lifting will help increase the amount of calories you burn during your workout. Then, of course, work your abs with challenging exercises like crunches, planks, standing moves, and machines. If you're a member of a gym, you may be entitled to a free session.
