I was a Mounds bar and my husband was an Almond Joy. I had on a red dress with a white piece of fabric over the middle that I cut a head whole out of. To keep the white fabric tight to your body use extra fabric to tie a belt, or iron the sides together using a fabric adhesive. My husband had on blue scrubs and same white fabric over the top. We wrote the letters using fabric markers.

i was marge simpson and my husband was homer. we brought donuts to the party... it was great! i used a stirofoam cylindar and pinned my hair up around it and sprayed it blud. he got a bald cap, i drew the homer hair on it and he carried a duff beer can around. If i had more time, i would have gotten a Stuffed Maggie to carry. i got the jewlery from Claire's.

My favorite to date has been Smurfette and Papa Smurf! Quite simple to put together and a big hit at parties.

Best costume my husband and I did was the year when he was the mad scientist, complete with crazy eye glasses, Einstein wig, and blood-smeared lab coat, I was the crazy assistant with the nurse's uniform and the tools (crazy hair and "dead" makeup) and our infant son was Frankenstein, our "creation"... The baby wore newborn sized clothes that were all ripped up with green makeup, etc. It was a total riot!

Creative Chaos
Before my husband and I got married, we went to a Halloween party in couple's costume. I was dressed as a wife in a house robe, slippers, wearing either a shower cap or curlers in my hair and carried a frying pan. He wore a suit that had red lipstick on the shirt collar and frilly bra (that obviously wouldn't fit me) hanging out of his suit where his pocket square should have been. It was a "hit" at the party with partygoers getting a good laugh and joking about "Frying Pan Justice". It ended up being great last-minute costumes for both of us. Tips to embellish the costume: if you have time, use green face paint to simulate a mud mask; have the article of clothing hanging out of the pocket square be the total opposite of what you (or people think you) wear; smear lipstick on his face if you want the theme immediately apparent or just keep the collar stain and the pocket "square" the only thing to lend the clue; wear baggy sweats if uncomfortable in a robe. Another year we were a nurse/accident victim (with ripped jean leg and road rash simulated with a cheap lip pencil). Most of the time, we go out dressed up at the last minute (because of work schedules)-so throwing together a cool costume from the closet is needed.

One year my husband was King Kong (traditional gorilla suit) and I was Fay Rey, the actress in the old King Kong movies. The finger wave & slinky flapper dress were a hit!

My husband and I have been doing the couple costumes since before we got married. A few years ago we were Mario and Luigi (he was Luigi and I was Mario.) Last year we were red riding hood and the big bad wolf. This year we are Frida Kahlo and Che Guevara (both communists.) All of our costumes have been inexpensive and home-made...and fun!

I just got married last month so I wore my dress last week as an angel after adding a halo and wings. He got a beard and wig, and insisted on sewing himself a handmade robe. I made him a crown of thorns and he was Jesus. We went to a club and had tons of people asking for pictures. It's my favorite so far, it was all his idea to match for once, I just knew I wanted to reuse my dress.

The hubby and I are going to be Ike and Tina...he's gonna be Tina

My husband and I were John McCain and Sarah Palin. It was easy to pull a suit and skirt from the closet and the McCain mask was only $20. We had a blast and all of our friends loved it!!

The Abes
When My husband and I were dating we went to a Halloween Party as Wilbur and Charlotte from Charlotte's Web! We found him a "pig set" which included ears, noes and a tail, and the we got the biggest [ink sweater and sweat pants we could find at Walmart, and then stuffed it with pillows. I wore a black velvet dress I found with spider web tights and long black gloves from a costume store, and found a large decorative stuffed-animal-like spider from Safeway, and attached elastic and wore it on my back (like angel/fairy wings) so I had my spider legs. It is still our favorite costume to this day!

I'm not ashamed to declare that my husband and I have peddled the same cosutme for 3 years. We are the "Prize Patrol" We dress up in snazzy clothes, we carry balloons and fake money, and we have a giant check. It's awesome to have such a fun costume that does not require crazy make-up or uncomfortable clothing!!

Mrs. Zingaretti
My husband and I went as Mario and the Princess from the original nintendo game. It was great.

The 1st year we were dating I wore a robe, Slippers and pjs & I carried kleenex in my pockets that stuck out of my robe. He wore pjs and used make up to make dark circles under his eyes & carried a pillow. We went as "Sick & Tired".I was sick,he was tired.last yr I had just come out of the hospital so I went as a patient & he was the dr.I even had my staples from my surgery still in my head, so I was "realistic". This year we're going as a pimp &a call girl.I'm wearing the pimp outfit & he's going in drag as the call girl!we're really looking forward to going to the annual party at our friend's house!

My husband (also bf at the time) and I were a firefighter and dalmation. I made a firefighted costume out of a cheap rain suit from Walmart for me, and then got a white sweatshirt and painted spots and also made him a collar. It was a hit, and super easy!

Patrick'sMom
When we were pregnant last year, my husband dressed up as a "baker" and I was an "oven". He was the bun maker and I had the bun in the oven. Get it? We got lots of laughs from these great costumes. Jeanna and Tony

I was Mounds and he was Almond Joy. I got two t-shirts- one red and one blue- and some white iron on letters. His was "Almond Joy" on the front and the back "I've got nuts" and mine had "Mounds" on the front with "I don't" on the back. Super funny and lame. Everyone loved it. I got the idea from another website actually.

We're going out this Friday as Hannah Montana and Billy Ray Cyrus!

My husband (boyfried at the time) and I dressed as Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Our friends seemed to like it. He was a good sport about it, although he said he wouldn't do that couple again.

One year my DH and I were lungs. We wore all pink (tights under shorts) and drew a lung on each of our shirts, he was left and I was right (of course). We drew blue and red veins on our sleeves and tights and made the back of our shirts look like a baseball tee with right and left written with a 1 and 2 underneath. It was a hit.

DH and I went to a Halloween party this past weekend and we were Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky which was a big hit. We went all out and had the blue stained dress and even had cigars in hand! Everyone had a good laugh.
