Something fun that me and my husband always do is play boardgames :) sometimes we play the 'strip' kind and other times we just play to win lol We also rent silly video games and have fun competing at them. It makes a fun and laughter-filled date night!

There are always fun and new things going on in your city. Check your city's website or newspaper's site to see what's going on! We found a free jazz concert every week that was also a fundraiser. You could pay $10 and you got two glasses of wine and a fruit and cheese platter :)

how come almost all of these suggestions involve alcohol...not every couple drinks!

by knm358872088 on Jan 29, 2010

I would like to point out that 3 of the 6 sugegstions involved alcohol. I would say at least 50% of couples do drink. So it's bang on. Lighten up!

my city has an explore the city website that lets locals in on the fun things to do in the area, in the summer, almost everything is free. i also signed up for a free magazine for my state... most states have a visit website that lists festivals and the like that are cheap and fun... finally a lot of mueseums and places have free days or days where citizens of the county can come from for reduced fare.

We go to the bookstore and read each other random pages of any interesting books we find while sipping on coffee or tea. Our favorites always seem to be the astrology books telling us if we're a good match or not and all the reasons why. Always provides a laugh.

It's winter here in Australia, and we have great dates outside/in the day on weekends, but we want more ideas for at home...

by Em4JC on Jun 13, 2010

I would like to know where to get tequila for 8 dollars... you've GOT to be kidding me!!! We live in CANADA! not happening. If you mean that it's about 8 dollars worth after buying a 50 dollar bottle (cause that's what it costs here) and splitting it up, then that makes more sense to me.

by vettle on Jul 16, 2010

I gotta say that these suggestions are pretty darn lame. Not a single thing on the list is "new" or refreshing. It is almost the same as saying going to McDonalds & buy food off the dollar menu & then go to the dollar movies: total price: $4. LAME!

why is it every date night idea needs to involve some sort of alcoholic beverage. i am not old enough to drink, nor do i want to and my husband has never touched this kind of drink in his whole 26 yrs of existence. we both come from alcoholic fathers so its not a good idea. why cant there be more alcohol free ideas. like the people-watching and fashion show.

by july24mrshill on Aug 09, 2010

I agree, can we get some ideas without involving having to alter our minds with alcohol??

by mannasmommy on Aug 19, 2010

Me and my husband like to pop some popcorn at home and go to the drive ins. It only costs us $12.50 to get in and you get to see two shows.

Movie nite is me and my hubby's favorite date nite idea on the cheap. first we get the frozen pizzas fr ralph's then rent the newest either action packed, horror or comedy (sometimes all 3 in 1 nite)and stay in bed under the covers while watching:)

by speechcomm01 on Jan 29, 2011

Some of these are not new in the least, or expensive in taste, but that's why it's called Date Night Ideas under $15. Usually our date nights include dinner, and sometimes either a movie or bowling/mini golf. But those dates we only do about once a month because we are on a tight budget. We have done an inexpensive date night by going to McDonald's (mostly during football season when it was BOGO on sandwiches) or going to Taco Bell and then going home and watching a movie. Or we'll go for a small hike on the weekends or go for a dip in the pool. When you don't have a lot of extra money to start with, nights like these are great. To so of us, ordering off of the Dollar Menu when we're usually at home making dinner, is a nice treat.

not many of these things would be ok to do if your like me and happen to be pregnant with all the alcohol

by toby88 on Aug 04, 2011

People, really, if you want date nights without alcohol, quit complaining about it on here and come up with your own ideas. It's not that hard.

by literarymuse on Aug 04, 2011

not all of the suggestions include alcohol. me and my husband drink every now and then and it brings a little excitment to the bed. its a little pizazze. dont b so dramatic about the suggestions. seriously dont dis all those who arent such a tight wad in bed, like you. maybe you could use a shot or two....

My date night never consist of reading, sitting and talking, or movies for that matter! We indulge in our bodies and sex drives! Screw all the boring stuff! Let's talk dirty and have kinky sex! And, YES, that includes alcohol sometimes!
