Before the colder weather sets in, my boyfriend and I try to squeeze in as many local adventures as we can. Since our main priority is saving some dough, we like to spend weekends stepping out of our normal routine and exploring the quaint, historical villages that neighbor our hometown. One place we love to escape to: the Hudson River Valley. Why? Country fairs, festivals, and scenic boat cruises lure us in. • Go apple picking! Yum... Got apples? Bake these tasty apple cobbler and apple blueberry tart desserts!
• Rent bikes for a day (if you haven’t brought them yourselves) and explore the local sites and parks. Not only will the exercise relieve the stress from the workweek, a good, sweaty workout also amps up your sex drive.
• Go antiquing. Don't think it's his thing? Watch how he changes his tune when he stumbles upon all that vintage baseball memorabilia!
