Would You Take a Super-Kitschy "Romantic" Vacation?

On the one hand, I have to admit that I’ve always kind of wanted to rent a crazy-cheesy hotel room like this one. Sorry, but the champagne tub looks like fun. And I know I’d immediately stage a hilarious photo shoot with my husband (hello 2010 holiday cards). But on the other hand, all the pictures of couples about to get it on give me the creeps. I mean, this is NOT the kind of place you’d want to submit to a black light test (which may or may not even be a real thing by the way -- see Snopes -- but maybe NSFW).

Full disclosure: when I was a child, my parents used to request the honeymoon suite in various cheesy hotels, so my little sis and I could paddle around in the heart shaped bathtubs. We always thought we were staying in Barbie’s Dream room -- it was so ticky-tacky perfect for my six year old taste. So that’s probably where my soft spot for tawdry hotel decor comes from.

So let’s hear your thoughts Nesties...

Would you ever go someplace like this?

Bring on the kitsch –- it looks like tons of fun!

The pictures are hilarious, but that’s way too much to spend on a goof.

No way -– I've got the heebie-jeebies just thinking about it.
