Q.
My husband has mentioned that he hopes to make enough dough so that I don't have to work once we have kids. But I don't want to ditch my career after kids. Should I have that talk with him now, or wait until I'm preggers?
A.
Break out the good wine glasses (and wine, naturally) and come clean tonight. "We like to talk up front about big topics, so there are no surprises," says Anna Hartman of Boston. "We've already had the baby talk, even though we're a few years away from having kids." In fact, by not speaking up, you're sending the message that you're happy with the stay-at-home scenario. Who knows-- it may come as a huge relief to him to find out that Bugaboo Baby Strollers and braces won't be coming out of only his paycheck.
