Love Q&A: Losing Single Friends?

Q.

The Nest Q&A

My husband and I have single friends who don’t make time for us now that we’re married. Why is this happening and what should we do?

A.

Perhaps they feel that the two of you aren’t interested in hanging out with singles anymore, or that you don’t want to spend time apart. Or maybe you’re the ones shutting them out. Regardless of the reason, you have to take the reins and make an effort to see your single friends. Plan on spending quality time with them each month, whether it’s brunch or cocktails, and venture out without your partner sometimes.
