What a year. Between the celeb breakups, finance shake-ups and the wait-are-you-serious Kardashian divorce, 2011 has been quite eventful. Here’s a recap of the not-so-happy stuff that made us more than a little glum this past year. And here’s to a better 2012!

It was a rough year for those following their favorite celebrity relationships. From indie darlings Zooey and Ben to hot-as-hell couple Scarlett and Ryan parting ways, we’re starting to lose hope in Hollywood romance. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, don’t you dare do anything stupid.
