This super-fluffy (non) proposal story about a couple getting engaged at the Chicago Flower and Garden Show is what got me going. Honestly, I'm a little embarrassed that I even clicked on it. But the truth is, today I’m in the exact right mood to partake in some good old-fashioned romantic drivel. You know, that sweet spot where you’re feeling a little tired, vulnerable and sentimental? The kind of mood that all but cries out for a date with a bowl of ice cream and a bad rom-com? Yep. I'm there. And yep, it's not even noon.
If I were a TV person, I suppose I could pull a sick day and cue up a tearjerker on Lifetime, but alas, I’m not. Which is why I must rely on you people for my serving of schlock.
