How They Met: At a bar. Abby says, “It was fate to meet an incredible guy in a dive bar on a Tuesday night -- I had to take a chance on him.”

Careers: Abby is a high school special ed teacher; Brad is a police officer.
Pets: They rescued a dog named Marley, who they think is a collie/rottweiler mix.
Baby Clock: About 4 years -- right now they‘re enjoying being a twosome.
Biggest Pet Peeve: Abby: “Brad leaves piles of mail all over the house. When I file them, he blames me that something got lost.” Brad: “It’s hard for me to surprise her because she’s always poking around the house!”
Biggest Compromise: Their arguing style. Brad likes to “fight it out” until they agree, and Abby would rather cool down and talk; they’re still finding their middle ground.
Downtime: Abby coaches field hockey at the high school where she teaches. Brad loves working with his hands. Abby says, “He’s always fixing or remodeling something.” They enjoy going to the Jersey shore, but nothing compares to curling up on the couch with a movie and take-out.
Guilty Pleasures: When Brad is at work all night, Abby sleeps with both her 23-year-old stuffed animal “Little Jess” and Marley, their real dog.
Splurge: Date nights. “When it comes to spending time together, we spare no expense!” explains Abby. Brad enjoys his toys and would like to buy a motorcycle and a boat.
Nicknames: “We’re sort of like Ray and Deborah from the show
Everybody Loves Raymond. Brad just makes something up when he walks in the door,” Abby says.
