Ages: 29 and 31

Together Since: 2005

Wedding Date: July 27, 2007

How They Met: They met through a friend at a Screw Cupid pub crawl.

Careers: Andrea is a teacher and Kevin is a machinist.

Pets: They have a lab named Wrigley and a cat named Layla.

Take His Name? Yes, sort of. “I haven’t exactly gotten around to changing my license yet. Oops!”

Have Sex: Often

Baby Clock: Kevin wanted to start on their wedding night, but Andrea wanted to get settled and spend some time together. “Now I think we’re both ready,” says Andrea.

Biggest Compromise: Due to his sports obsession, Andrea let Kevin have what they call "The Man Cave" in the basement so he can hang sports pictures, watch whatever game he wants, and play video games.

Downtime: They both love boating in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter.

Guilty Pleasures: Andrea is teaching Kevin how to cook; they’re starting with breakfast. Every Sunday they sleep in and then make a huge spread.

No One Knows: “We’re kind of dorky and silly when we’re home alone. We’re constantly pulling pranks on one another trying to make each other laugh,” Andrea says.

Fantasy Buy or Splurge: Renovating their kitchen.

Anniversary Gift: They haven’t had their first anniversary yet. They’ll try to plan a little getaway.

In 10 Years: They’ll still be making each other laugh every night.

In Their Own Words: I know a lot of people say that we were meant to be together, but I know that something very powerful brought us together. I’m originally from Michigan and moved to Chicago to teach. I was in a horrible long-term relationship, finally broke it off, and had sworn off men when a fellow teacher that I worked with introduced us at a Screw Cupid pub crawl. We both instantly were attracted to each other but I swore this would only be a fling. He wanted to get together two weeks later. I showed up but he didn't. I was mad and decided to write him off until I found out he had been in an accident and was in a coma. (I guess that's a good excuse.) He lost his short-term memory for a few months but remembered me, and when he recovered, he wanted to get together. We had planned to see each other at my friend’s birthday party, but my uncle passed away. I was devastated and didn’t want to do anything for a while. My girlfriend finally convinced me to come out and invited Kevin along. We had both been through a lot in the last few months, but finally the time was right. We talked all night and he asked me to go to dinner with him the next night. We’ve been together ever since, and although it was a struggle finding each other, we appreciate each other that much more every day.
