How You Met: “We met through his cousin, one of my best guy friends at the time,” says Kadiatou. “We exchanged numbers after a game night and have been together ever since.”
Careers: Charlie is a teacher and is currently studying to get his master’s degree in applied learning and instruction. Kadiatou is studying to receive her master’s in management with a focus on human resources.
Baby Clock: “We plan on having kids after we have both completed our PhDs,” says Kadiatou.
Most Annoying Habits: Kadiatou says Charlie can fall asleep within five minutes: “It’s annoying!” Charlie says Kadiatou makes a weird, scratching noise with her throat.
Biggest Compromise: Fitting in quality time with so many responsibilities and activities!
Interests & Hobbies: Charlie is the CEO of his own nonprofit organization, HAYA (Helping All Youth Achieve), with a focus on mentoring inner-city youth. Kadiatou likes to volunteer, shop and spend time with family. They both enjoy movie nights and traveling.
Guilty Pleasures: “We don’t feel guilty about any of our pleasures!” says Kadiatou.
