Food: Water’s Edge
(6024 Cortez Blvd.) is an upscale eatery that has the best atmosphere, with saltwater aquariums and black linen tables. On top of that, they serve the greatest food in town. Can we say lobster?
(14251 Powell Rd.) is the place to go for fine wine because of their excellent and varied collection. Every so often they have events where you can mingle with the locals and enjoy a wine tasting -- it doesn’t get any better.
(11 S Broad St.) has been here for years, and when you want to find the latest in clothes, purses, and jewelry, this is definitely the place to shop. If they don’t have what you’re looking for, they’ll order it for you.
On the tower at Beach Park
(6400 Shoal Line Blvd.), you can watch the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico. You can see for miles -- the view overlooks the tops of palm trees and the channels leading out to the Gulf. And if you’re lucky enough to be the only couple up there, the moment couldn’t be anymore perfect to enjoy together.
