Ask a Guy: Orgasm Through Sex?

Question of the week: I seem to be biologically incapable of having an orgasm through sex, but my husband insists on trying every time -- and then gets frustrated. It’s ruining our sex life. What can I do?

Mr. X says: Start by talking. You’d be amazed by how many couples spend hours discussing things like finances but don’t ever communicate when it comes to sex. From what it sounds like, your husband is suffering from a case of MES (Male Ego Syndrome) and wants to prove to himself that he can satisfy you in bed. Lead off on the right foot by telling him the things he does that you enjoy (read: nothing’s sexier than a confidence booster), and then open up about what gets you going. This isn’t the time to be shy, so be honest if you’re craving more oral sex, finger stimulation, or -- for adventurous types -- some extra help from a vibrator or sex toy. Trust me, once he sees you enjoying sex more, he’ll be happy to oblige.

-- Mr. X
