wow. these gift ideas are pretty awful. collar stays and cuff links? a "book about us?" i'm sorry, but while my boyfriend is sensitive, in no way would he ever want or even like any of these gift. way to NOT think outside the box.

"you let our love fern die!" -How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days

by mrs.conananan on Feb 03, 2010

These gift ideas are just wrong. My husband would think this was a joke if I bought him any of this stuff. How about tickets to basketball/football game or even a six pack of beer. Heck- my husband would be over the moon if I suprised him in some sexy lingerie when he came home. Men are simple creatures and most could care less about all the sappy stuff.

Having a boyfriend makes a girl feel something very special. Feeling loved, liked and admired is great, and a boyfriend gives this feeling to his girlfriend. Having a boyfriend does not only imply towards going out for dates, romantic movies or candle light dinners but it also implies towards gaining moral support, confidence and happiness with him being a part of life. Valentine's Day gifts can be extremely important for many women, much more so than many men realize. For the majority, it wouldn't hurt using our debit cards just to buy the best Valentines gift for our beloved.

Really, what self respecting man would be enthused by any one of these suggestions? I wouldn't even want any of this crap.

by KPMANNING on Feb 04, 2010

I agree....these gifts are pretty lame...

by day.247 on Feb 04, 2010

So who uses collar stays? at least in the past 50 years i mean... And the love bean thing... um no... How about spending time together? I mean i love gifts as much as the next person, but valentine's at times takes things a little too far... Candy, and his favorite movie is a good idea... or a "movie kit" get a cheap plastic bowl and fill it with some dvds, candy, popcorn, maybe a 6 pack. Voila, instant date night!

not diggin the gifts, my hubby would think i lost my mind. they r not very manly.

by mommaschulz on Feb 05, 2010

I agree with everyone... these gift ideas are HORRIBLE! Who writes this???

by andreaalbus on Feb 05, 2010

These ideas made me laugh and sad at the same time. "Love ya! Your cowgirl" Give me a break!

by philamanda on Feb 05, 2010

Wow, I would be so hurt if he let the plant die. No thanks! I'll go with wearing lingerie instead.

by roselyn81 on Feb 05, 2010

Wow.. I agree these are pretty terrible. I don't think my guy would enjoy cuff links, collar stays, or anything to put in his non-existent office. This year I bought him something he really just wanted to buy for himself. A video game controller, personalized with his favorite video game... might not sound like much, but he's going to love it. (Approx. $25) I'm also buying him a cheap small photo album and I'm making him a "ticket stub" journal. We go to movies and random places all the time, this way we can keep track of when, where, and who - and remember all of our wonderful memories, not missing detail :D ($ 5)

Man, I agree these gift ideas are terrible. I'm buying my guy something he would usually buy for himself. A Controller for one of his favorite video games. Men will be boys. lol (approx. $25) Something else a little more romantic/sentimental I'm buying a cheap small photo album. I'm making it a ticket stub journal. This way we can keep track of every detail of our great dates :D (approx $5)

wow, these gifts are really bad. i'm pretty sure they were suggested by someone who doesn't have a boyfriend. i agree with amy0725, this is thinking very much INSIDE the box,and pretty small one too. there is no way i'm giving my love any of these. i think you need to look at your man and buy something that he would really enjoy. how about, just for instance, some fishing gear, if he enjoys fishing. something for his hobby would be a great gift. forget all these tacky gifts like book about us - do you know any man who would actually read one or enjoy one? and the romance? come on! porn movie would be a better gift than this tacky wacky thing. well, to sum up, any gift that shows you know your man and his interests will be great. happy shopping. ciao;

a love message bean????? lol....even I want to gag over that one!!!

by Lady"M" on Feb 06, 2010

I would never get my boyfriend any of these gifts. I am getting him a liquer dispenser!

by bosoxgirl609 on Feb 08, 2010

Yeah these are quite awful. These seemed like what you would give a girl. I have better suggestions: video game, sports tickets, cook him dinner, wear sexy lingerie, ... I mean right there are some ACTUAL ideas.

by AngieKess on Feb 09, 2010

Really!! I know my husband isn't the typical husband. He is in the Army, loves guns and exercise. I got a good laugh out of these gifts.. I am giving a bedroom coupon book; perfect push ups; a grill cover with his favorite NFL team and I am cooking Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.. We are also watching two movies that day... Couples Retreat and I HATE Valentines Day..

by wilessl on Feb 09, 2010

agree with Jill62. . . i think the only acceptable gifts here are the frames.

by jsbt2014 on Feb 09, 2010

What would my man like? He'd like me to do get him something he needs or wants - after I've done the research (the caring part, not just the spending part) to ensure it's the best. He loves when I buy him clothes (because he hates clothes shopping). I bought him a shaver (and I did my research reading all the reviews on Amazon) and he loved it. He loves his favourite chocolate at Christmas time (Toblerone) and I think for his birthday this year I'm going to do my research and buy him a pack of specialty beers - since he's getting into beer. We also have a "Wine Kitz" store near our house and have talked about wanting to try that one time so I'll investigate that and surprise him with a date there. He loves experiences and thoughtfulness. For Valentine's day, I'm cooking him a three course meal...his favourite, french onion soup, steak, sweet potato fries, and then some chocolate thing for dessert. I know this list is all about things you can buy online, but... ehh. For all the websites and magazines that advertise novelty cufflinks, I don't know anyone who wears them.

by rorenivy on Feb 10, 2010

Lol! So many think their man wouldn't like this stuff, but my hubbie totally love some it! The map is awesome, since we travel so much. And I love the book idea, sounds fun!

by his_cupcake on Feb 10, 2010

Wow. These gifts are really lame. I was hoping to actually get an idea of what to get for my hubby!

by gdlk on Feb 11, 2010

stadium seat cufflinks...?

by nicoleseeley on Feb 11, 2010

My fiance would be disappointed if I actually took these ideas and used them!

by jennaye2 on Feb 11, 2010

Books By You. Seriously??? Go to the site--they let you preview how some of these books would sound with your names in them. BAHAHAHAHA. It's like a 7th grader wrote it. PS--I am not spending that much money on something I could have a local middle schooler write for a fraction of the cost.
