I just got a new job offer, but I’m not sure how to tell my current boss. How can I leave on a positive note?

Remember, gratitude (and flattery) can go a long way. Start off by saying how much you appreciate all that she’s taught you and how much you have enjoyed working for her, but...you found something better! Just kidding, don’t say it’s “better.” Tell her that your gut is telling you it’s time for you to move on and grow in a different direction. Then add that you want to make sure the transition is as easy for her as possible.
